GoodCents. A Company that Delivers Value.

GoodCents was born out of an energy crisis more than 30 years ago. From the beginning, our goal was to guide an industry toward better ways to build energy-efficient homes, and teach homeowners how to be smarter energy consumers.

Today, our mission includes helping to expand Smart Grid technologies and communications, assisting utilities with demand response alternatives, and providing weatherization services to homes in low-income areas across the country.

Since 1976, we've worked with more than 150 utilities, installed more than a million load control devices, and conducted energy audits on hundreds of thousands of homes.

Keys to Effective Weatherization...the GoodCents Way

Providing effective and well documented weatherization services to American homes requires a company with extraordinary skills and systems. Our neighborhood canvassing, and community-agency partnering process ensures the greatest home
coverage and energy-savings gains.

GoodCents weatherization technicians, hired from within the communities they serve, are trained to help owners make good decisions about their homes.

Delivering Results

We begin the in-home weatherization process by conducting a walk-thru energy audit. A computerized analysis of the home's energy usage and recommended action steps is provided to the resident, along with a detailed analysis of cost versus savings.

Our approach to this process is unbiased and crucial in helping homeowners understand the best way to go about weatherizing their homes.

Documentation and Reporting

GoodCents has developed a robust data-tracking and retention system to provide for complete program accountability. This system tracks materials, labor, financial information and reports on energy savings, carbon emissions, water consumption and more.
