Duke Energy Midwest Introduces Energy Efficiency
Rebate Programs
August 2006—Duke Energy Midwest has chosen GoodCents to
manage and operate its Energy Efficiency Rebate program for commercial
and industrial customers and its Smart $aver rebate program for
residential customers.
GoodCents Chosen to Deliver Turnkey Hydro One Program
July 2006—Ontario's Hydro One Networks tapped GoodCents over six competitors to
introduce its smartstat°demand response program to York Region
customers. Customers will receive a free web-enabled programmable
thermostat that lets Hydro One raise their central air conditioning
temperature during peak demand times.
Toronto Hydro Extends Its Turnkey peaksaver ac Program with GoodCents
July
2006—Toronto Hydro's peaksaver ac program gives residential and
small business/commercial customers the opportunity to let Toronto Hydro
remotely "cycle down" homeowners' central air conditionser, water
heaters and pool pumps when the Ontario electricity system is stretched.
More than 20,000 customers are participating to date.
EUCI Workshop Draws Enthusiastic Response
July 2005—The Electric Utilities Consultants, Inc. (EUCI) four-hour workshop
on Common Errors and Common Sense was conducted by GoodCents
professionals Dan Merilatt and Roger Gray to guide utilities when
designing and setting up demand response programs.
Rate Manager Wins Southeastern Energy Exchange 1st Prize
Mar.
2005—GoodCents’ Rate Manager software won a 1st place award in
the Rates & Regulatory category of the 2005 SEE Industry Excellence
Award Program. The software system assists the utility rate analyst in
calculating, charting, and analyzing current electric service rates,
designing new rates, and making competitive rate comparisons.
GoodCents Wins 10-year Contract with Flint Energies
Feb. 2005—The new
contract will provide the large Reynolds, Georgia, electric cooperative
with a state-of-the-art direct load control (DLC) implementation in its
“Switch and Save” demand response program.
GoodCents Opens Southern California Office
Sep.2004—Southern
California Edison wants at least 350,000 direct load control devices
installed within 7 years. Because the two installation companies working
on the project had gotten behind, SCE asked GoodCents to become the
third contractor. GoodCents expects to install nearly 20,000 devices in
2005.
Ex-President Requests GoodCents Installation
Apr.
2004—A GoodCents-installed direct load control
device now adorns the side of President Jimmy Carter's home in Plains,
Georgia. Mr. Carter himself received an explanation from the GoodCents
installation technician on how the device will allow Georgia Power
Company to cycle the home's packaged heating and A/C unit when
necessary.
Southeastern Utility Purchases Rate Manager Software
Mar. 2004—Another southeastern utility
has joined the family of electric utilities using Rate Manager.
The software assists utility rate analysts to modify and compare existing
rates, design new rates, and evaluate competitive rates.
Kentucky PUC Approves Cinergy Program Expansion
Feb. 2004—The Kentucky
Public Service Commission has approved the request of Cinergy subsidiary
Union Light Heat and Power to join the GoodCents Direct load
control program that Cinergy calls Power Manager.
GoodCents and CTI Partner in Alliant Pilots
Feb. 2004—GoodCents and Cannon
Technologies are partnering in two GoodCents Direct load control
pilot projects for Alliant Energy in Iowa and Wisconsin. The partners
will turnkey the projects for Alliant including marketing, customer
recruitment, equipment installation, data collection, analysis, and
final reports.
2003 Install Success Wins LG&E Award
Dec. 2003—The GoodCents Kentucky team
achieved its 2003 goal of 25,000 DLC installations for LG&E’s Demand
Conservation program Our appreciative client presented the GoodCents
team with an Award of Excellence.
GoodCents Completes First Year with TXU Dealer Network
Dec. 2003—In 2003, the TXU Authorized
Dealer Network (ADN), managed by GoodCents, processed 1,000 rebates and
gave out over 10,000 referrals to TXU customers, which permitted them to
contract with a dealer knowing the dealer had been certified by
GoodCents and TXU.
GoodCents Energy Specialists Conduct Cinergy Home Audits
Dec. 2003—GoodCents energy specialists
successfully completed the first year of Cinergy/PSI’s Home Energy House
Call. As part of this free home energy audit program, auditors conduct a
thorough in-home analysis. The customer receives a free Energy
Efficiency Starter Kit and a custom-tailored report detailing steps to
take to increase efficiency and reduce energy bills.
